Abstract(s)
Esta dissertação de mestrado tem por objeto a análise da aplicação das ferramentas de gestão
estratégica nas IPSS do concelho de Lamego e a contribuição dessa aplicação. Nesse sentido
o problema central do estudo é: “Qual o nível de aplicação de ferramentas de gestão
estratégica nas IPSS no concelho de Lamego, e de que forma o seu reforço poderá contribuir
para o reforço da sua sustentabilidade?”. Desta forma, foram definidos objetivos gerais de
estudo, tais como, concetualizar as ferramentas de gestão estratégica, evidenciando as
principais correntes de pensamento acerca da temática; perceber o contributo das
ferramentas de gestão estratégica nas organizações sociais (IPSS) do concelho de Lamego;
perceber de que modo a utilização de ferramentas estratégicas influenciam a sustentabilidade
das IPSS e apresentar uma proposta adequada para as realidades organizacionais estudadas.
Foi, assim, realizada: uma revisão da literatura com conceitos essenciais, como gestão,
estratégia, as ferramentas de gestão estratégica, a sustentabilidade e as especificidades das
organizações sociais; um inquérito por questionário aplicado às organizações do concelho
de Lamego, que aceitaram participar no estudo e, pela análise de dados efetuada, foi possível
verificar a pouca existência de planeamento estratégico e das ferramentas de gestão
estratégica, a necessidade de um reforço ao nível de gestão estratégica nas organizações do
concelho e a necessidade de aposta na sua sustentabilidade.
This dissertation intends to present the analysis of the use of the management tools in the IPSS of Lamego and the contribution of that use. In this sense, the central problem of the study is: “What is the level of use of strategic management tools in the IPSS in Lamego, and how their reinforcement could contribute to the reinforcement of their sustainability?”. Thus, general study objectives were defined, such as, to conceptualize the strategic management tools, highlighting the main theories about the theme; to understand the contribution of strategic management tools in the social organizations (IPSS) of Lamego; and to understand how the use of strategic tools influence the sustainability of IPSS, as well as to present a suitable proposal for the studied organizational realities. Thus, a literature review was conducted with key concepts such as management strategy, strategy management tools, sustainability and the specificities of social organizations. We also developed questionnaire survey in the organizations of Lamego that agreed to participate in the study. This study allowed a data analysis from which is possible to verify there is little strategic planning and strategic management tools available, also the need for a strategic management reinforcement in the county organizations and the need to bet on its sustainability.
