Abstract(s)
tipo descritivo.
consideração o estado psicológico do individuo.
ABSTRACT Introduction: Rheumatic diseases are increasingly common as an important social and economic problem. However, there are few studies in Portugal, on the impact of ankylosing spondylarthritis sexuality of individuals. Objective: To analyze the sexual behavior of individuals with ankylosing spondylarthritis and identify the variables that affect the same. Methodology: The research falls within the quantitative study, descriptive. Data were collected on a sample of 60 members of the National Association of Ankylosing spondylarthritis (ANEA) with Ankylosing spondylarthritis, including 48 men and 12 women. The instrument used for data collection integrates issues of casociodemographic and clinical characterization, the numeric scale of pain, The Bath Ankylosing Spondylitis Disease Activity Index (BASDAI), The Bath Ankylosing Spondylitis Functional Index (BASFI), Hospital Anxiety Depression Scale (HADS), The Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale, The International Index of Erectile Function (IIEF), Female Sexual Function Index (FSFI) and Dyadic Adjustment Scale (DAS). Results: The index of erectile function of men is influenced by determinants such as age, the Disability, Depression and Anxiety, the Global Self-Esteem, and the Dyadic Adjustment. The female sexual function index is influenced by determinants such as pain during the night and the Dyadic Adjustment. Conclusions: The management of the disease and its impact on sexual behavior should be directed not only to its influence on the physical outcomes, but also take into consideration the psychological state of the individual. In this sense, should be implemented intervention strategies that promote the health and well-being of the individual with ankylosing spondylarthritis. keywords: ankylosing spondylarthritis, determinants, index of erectile function, female sexual function index.
