Ao longo dos anos, a importância da comunicação política tem sido, cada vez mais, evidente nas Eleições Autárquicas tendo impacto, também, nas estratégias de comunicação e de marketing adotadas. Cada vez mais, os partidos têm vindo a perceber que as populações dos concelhos estão mais cientes da existência deste tipo de comunicação, das estratégias de marketing, das plataformas digitais, pelo que, atualmente, é inevitável ter sabedoria e presença nas mesmas. Desta forma, os partidos devem conhecer e perceber todas as estratégias de comunicação que melhor se adequam ao ano eleitoral em questão, tanto como à população a que se destinam as suas mensagens. Um candidato favorável deve revelar que sabe responder a todas as necessidades das pessoas e dos anseios dos eleitores e que, especialmente, é competente para lhes proporcionar uma melhor qualidade de vida que aspiram e que ambicionam. Hoje, a comunicação e o marketing desempenham um papel fundamental na comunicação política, pois os políticos conseguem ganhar votos de confiança por parte dos eleitores, ou seja, por parte da população que irá votar. Atualmente, as estratégias de comunicação e de marketing são a força total para os candidatos às Eleições Autárquicas construírem uma campanha deveras intensa. E, assim, estes começam a elaborar, a construir e a dedicar-se à sua própria campanha eleitoral, com bastante antecedência e com bastante competência. Neste sentido, a presente investigação tem como título, “A Comunicação na Política: Análise da Campanha Eleitoral no Concelho de Vila Nova de Paiva para as Eleições Autárquicas de 2021”. Tendo como principal objetivo comparar e analisar as estratégias de comunicação de todos os partidos candidatos às Eleições Autárquicas do ano de 2021, no Concelho de Vila Nova de Paiva. Foi investigado o modo como definiram e organizaram as suas campanhas de comunicação política, os recursos que dispuseram e o tipo de estratégias eleitorais utilizadas nesse ano para tentarem vencer o ato eleitoral. Ainda nesta investigação, procurou-se saber o papel da comunicação política, da campanha eleitoral e se a ação desempenhada pelos meios de comunicação de massas influencia a opinião pública.
Over the years, the importance of political communication has been increasingly evident in Local Government Elections, also having an impact on the communication and marketing strategies adopted. Increasingly, parties have come to realize that the populations of the municipalities are more aware of the existence of this type of communication, of marketing strategies, of digital platforms, so that, currently, it is inevitable not to have wisdom and presence in them. In this way, parties must know and understand all the communication strategies that are best suited to the election of the year in question, as well as to the population to which their messages are intended. A favorable candidate must show that he knows how to respond to all people's needs and voters' wishes and that, especially, is competent to provide them with a better quality of life that they aspire and aspire to. Today, communication and marketing play a fundamental role in political communication, as politicians manage to gain votes of confidence from voters, that is, from the population that will vote. Currently, communication and marketing strategies are the total strength for candidates for Municipal Elections to build a very intense campaign. And so, they begin to elaborate, build and dedicate themselves to their own electoral campaign, well in advance and with a lot of competence. In this sense, the present research proposal has as its theme, "Communication in Politics: Analysis of the Electoral Campaign in the Municipality of Vila Nova de Paiva for the 2021 Local Elections". The main objective is to compare and analyze the communication strategies of all candidates parties for the 2021 Municipal Elections, in the Municipality of Vila Nova de Paiva. It was investigated how they defined and organized their political communication campaigns, the resources they had and the type of electoral strategies used that year to try to win the electoral act. Still in this investigation, we sought to know the role of political communication, the electoral campaign and whether the action performed by the mass media influences public opinion.
