Abstract(s)
Emphysema is an accumulation of air quite frequent in dogs, being the Pekingese the most susceptible breed. Given the lack of collateral ventilation, horses, cattle, sheep and pigs are also susceptible to this condition (Porter et al., 2011).
The main objective of this work is to highlight the care that should be given by veterinary nurses to emphysematous patients.
