Terapia espelho no doente com hemiparesia pós AVC : revisão sistemática da literatura

| dc.description.abstract | Introdução: O Acidente Vascular Cerebral é uma das principais causas de morte em Portugal e os doentes que sobrevivem a esta doença ficam frequentemente com hemiparesia e hemiplegia. Existem varias técnicas de reabilitação para recuperar a funcionalidade total ou parcial dos membros afetados, mas recentemente tem ganho destaque a técnica da terapia espelho. Objetivo: Avaliar níveis de recuperação da hemiparesia em doentes com acidente vascular cerebral após a aplicação da terapia espelho, e elaborar guidelines orientadoras na realização da terapia espelho. Metodologia: Trata-se de uma Revisão Sistemática da Literatura de acordo com o método Participantes, Intervenciones, Comparaciones y Outcome (Desenlaces), tendo como questão de investigação: “Qual será o potencial de recuperação ou melhoria da hemiparesia na doente vítima de AVC após implementação da terapia-espelho?” A partir da pesquisa das bases de dados eletrónicas foram incluídos seis artigos: Siusco et al. (2008), Dohle et al. (2008), Thieme et al. (2012), Invernizzi et al. (2012), Samuelkamaleshkumar et al. (2014), Colomer, Noé e Llorens (2016). Resultados: A terapia espelho diminui o grau de paresia apresentada pelos doentes permitindo obter: um grau de espasticidade ligeiramente menor, melhorias na capacidade funcional do membro superior afetado na recuperação motora e na destreza manual, na resistência ao movimento passivo dos flexores dos dedos, na recuperação da função motora distal, na postura global, na recuperação da sensibilidade superficial e na sensação táctil, e ainda na recuperação da heminegligência visuo-espacial. Conclusão: A terapia espelho em conjunto com a terapia convencional é uma prática na intervenção do Enfermeiro de reabilitação, que traz resultados benéficos aos doentes após acidente vascular cerebral. Trata-se de uma mais-valia na recuperação motora destes doentes, que tem a vantagem de ser uma técnica simples e sem muitos custos para o doente, promovendo assim também a sua autonomia. | dc.description.abstract | Abstract Introduction: Stroke is one of the leading causes of death in Portugal and the patients that survive end up suffering from hemiparesis and hemiplegia. There are several rehabilitation techniques to recover full or partial functionality of the affected limbs, but recently the mirror therapy technique has gained prominence. Objective: To evaluate the recovery levels of hemiparesis in patients that suffered from a stroke after the application of the mirror therapy and to develop orientation guidelines in the accomplishment of this therapy. Methodology: This is a Systematic Review of Literature according to the Participants, Interventions, Comparisons and Outcome (Outcomes) Method, with the research question: "What will be the recovery potential or better of hemiparesis without a victim of stroke after Implementation of mirror therapy? "From the research of the electronic databases, as well as six articles: Siusco et al. (2008), Dohle et al. (2008), Thieme et al. (2012), Invernizzi et al. (2012), Samuelkamaleshkumar et al. (2014), Colomer, Noé and Llorens (2016). Results: Mirror therapy decreases the degree of paresis presented in patients allowing to obtain: a slightly lower degree of spasticity, improvements in functional capacity of the affected upper limb in motor recovery and manual dexterity, resistance to passive movement of the finger flexors, Recovery of distal motor function, global posture, recovery of superficial sensitivity and tactile sensation, and recovery of visual neglect Conclusion: Mirror therapy in conjunction with a conventional therapy is a practice in the intervention of the rehabilitation nurse, which brings beneficial results to patients after stroke. This is an added value in motor recovery of these patients, with the advantage of being a simple technique and without many costs for the patient, thus promoting their autonomy.
