dc.description.abstractEste projeto consiste no desenvolvimento de uma candidatura da cidade de Santa Maria da Feira, à rede internacional Cittaslow. A pertinência do tema em questão, o movimento Slow e o Slow Tourism reside no facto de existirem poucas cidades portuguesas classificadas e no facto de este ser ainda um tema recente e pouco estudado, mas que se tem vindo a mostrar pertinente para a altura que vivemos, podendo efetivamente passar por ser umas das principais tendências de escolhas dos consumidores para o futuro. Com a situação pandémica que atravessámos, o setor turístico foi dos mais afetados. Isto fez com que os hábitos de turismo das pessoas sofressem alterações e deu origem a mudanças nos comportamentos. Assim sendo, o movimento Slow pode ser visto por muitas pessoas como uma boa alternativa a práticas de turismo massificadas. Santa Maria da Feira é uma cidade com um enorme potencial turístico já conhecido, sendo que a cidade é conhecida maioritariamente pelo turismo de eventos. Ainda assim, existe uma grande oferta turística que se pode enquadrar nesta temática, visando a oferta de experiências e vivências únicas e verdadeiramente alternativas aos turistas. Recentemente, a cidade passou a integrar a Rede de Cidades Criativas da UNESCO, sendo o único território português no âmbito da gastronomia. Isto representa um enorme potencial de desenvolvimento (turístico) para a região. No que diz respeito à metodologia, procedeu-se a uma análise quantitativa com recurso à técnica de inquérito por questionário, que foi posteriormente aplicado aos residentes e visitantes/turistas de Santa Maria da Feira. Os resultados obtidos mostram que uma futura possível candidatura à rede internacional Cittaslow por parte da cidade de Santa Maria da Feira seria viável.pt_PT
dc.description.abstractABSTRACT: This project consists of the development of an application to the international network Cittaslow/ Slow Cities by the city of Santa Maria da Feira. The relevance of the subject in question, the Slow movement and Slow Tourism, resides in the fact that there are few Portuguese cities classified and in the fact that this is still a recent and little studied subject, but which has proven to be relevant for the time we live in, which can effectively become one of the main trends in consumer choices for the future. With the pandemic situation we went through, the tourist sector was one of the most affected. This caused people's tourism habits to change and gave rise to changes in behavior. Therefore, the Slow movement can be seen by many people as a good alternative to mass tourism practices. Santa Maria da Feira is a city with a huge tourist potential already known, and the city is mostly known for events tourism. Even so, there is a great tourist offer that can be framed in this theme, aiming to offer unique and truly alternative experiences and experiences to tourists. Recently, the city joined the UNESCO Creative Cities Network, being the only Portuguese territory in the field of gastronomy. This represents an enormous (tourist) development potential for the region. Regarding the methodology, a quantitative analysis was carried out using the questionnaire survey technique, which was later applied to residents and visitors/tourists of Santa Maria da Feira. The results obtained show that a possible future application to the Cittaslow international network by the city of Santa Maria da Feira would be viable.pt_PT
