Abstract(s)
a prática do turismo holístico.
ABSTRACT: The Holistic Tourism gained strength in the world with tourists seeking for programs and experiences that bring balance to their lives. Practicing holistic tourism means that any tourist can enjoy a different experience, more than a simple contact with cultures, people, places or landscapes. It focuses on self-transformation of a human being and in the sense that each person gives his own life, trying to understand more about themselves. If we consider Portugal and the islands, regions like Gerês, Lisbon, Algarve and the Azores are places that have all the ingredients to become important destinations for the practice of holistic tourism. In the current market and in addition to the study of this new type of tourism, it examined whether Portugal, particularly the above-mentioned areas, are able to develop this product in their regions. So that the study becomes more reliable, it was decided to carry out a questionnaire that will help analyze aspects in it. Data collection occurred through face questionnaires and questionnaires inserted into online platforms, which were carried out over a period of 3 months. The results allowed us to understand and verify certain statistical parameters for the different research scales introduced in the questionnaire, and about the tourist characteristics and its present trip and also meet the demographic data of each person. This research aims to study and understand the vision that each individual holds about this new type of tourism in order to later help potential entities to invest in this type of product, in particular the initially mentioned areas of study. To conclude, knowing what every tourist value, feel and need in terms of personal fulfillment, can turn this type of product in a competitive segment compared to others on the market.
