Abstract(s)
equipamento.
ABSTRACT: Physical assets are the essentials of an industrial company. In order to keep this equipment in good condition, strict and planned management must be carried out, that is, it is necessary to know these assets well, their importance and criticality in the factory's operation and have an up-to-date and effective preventive maintenance This thesis project, within the scope of the MSc in EMGI, aimed to apply a risk analysis and the RCM process (Reliability Centered Maintenance) in a biomass power plant. Firstly, a listing of the organization of assets into sectors/areas was made, followed by a risk analysis using the methods of structured interview and risk tables. With this risk analysis, information was obtained about the equipment and which active assets are most mandatory and with priority in the study of reliability and maintenance. The next step was the application of the Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) process without equipment, which from the previous study, was considered more critical for the Biomass plant. This is a very effective and rigorous method, good at defining plans and maintenance tasks for high-value and mandatory equipment. The results of the application of the process allowed, on the one hand, to propose to the company the application of a new maintenance plan, which will be more effective and will allow to avoid unscheduled stops, greater reliability, and consequently greater availability and, on the other hand, they also allowed, a more rigorous history and, consequently, more knowledge about the equipment.
