Abstract(s)
O Sistema de Gestão da Qualidade (SGQ), nos dias de hoje, assume um papel imperativo, para a sustentabilidade das organizações sociais.
Neste trabalho é feita uma retrospetiva da pertinência e evolução da Qualidade e o papel que esta assume na sustentabilidade das organizações sociais. A envolvência da Gestão de Topo na Implementação do Sistema de Gestão da Qualidade pode-se caracterizar como um desenvolvimento estratégico da organização.
Aqui também estão descritas todas as referências normativas para a certificação, dando uma especial atenção à Abordagem por Processos. Tornou-se necessária a análise de alguns pontos para a implementação, nomeadamente as ferramentas da Gestão da Qualidade e os Custos inerentes a esta.
É ainda apresentada a metodologia utilizada no trabalho, tendo em conta a revisão da literatura.
Por fim, apresenta-se a elaboração do Manual da Qualidade para uma futura Implementação na instituição em estudo, o Centro Social Paroquial de Castelo de Penalva.

The involvement of Top Management in the implementation of the Quality Management System can be characterized as a strategic development of the organization.
