| dc.description.abstract | Introdução: O contexto do luto, e tudo o que o pode potenciar ou prolongar são situações complexas que abarcam múltiplas dimensões que podem resultar em luto patológico. Frequentemente as vivências são negligenciadas quando deveriam ser acompanhadas e prevenidas ou mesmo diagnosticadas para um melhor acompanhamento àqueles que ficam, os familiares da pessoa com necessidades paliativas. Objetivos: Identificar se as variáveis sociodemográficas, psicológicas ou de contexto de luto têm efeito nas vivências do luto dos familiares com necessidades paliativas. Métodos: Estudo quantitativo, transversal, descritivo e correlacional, com uma amostra de 132 familiares da pessoa com necessidades paliativas, selecionados através de técnica não probabilística pelo método de bola de neve. O Instrumento de colheita de incluiu: um Questionário Sociodemográfico, a Escala de Esperança de Herth, a Escala do Contexto do Luto, a Escala de Apoio Social, o Inventory of Complicated Grief, e a Escala da Ansiedade, Depressão e Stress. Resultados: Dos 132 participantes, 94 revelaram um processo de luto normal. Destes, 67% pertencem ao sexo feminino, com uma idade média de 44 anos, casados ou em união de facto (61.7%) e a residir em meio urbano (75.5%). O nível de esperança e a idade revelaram efeito preditivo nas vivências do luto normal. Conclusões: Os resultados sobre a identificação de alguns fatores envolvidos na ocorrência do processo de luto revelam a necessidade de mobilização de recursos promotores da vivência saudável do luto em contexto paliativo. | pt_PT |
| dc.description.abstract | Introduction: The mourning context and everything that can potentiate or extend it are complex situations that cover multiple dimensions which can turn in pathological mourning. Frequently the way that relatives deal with it is neglected when it should be accompanied and prevented or even diagnosed for a better attendance to the relatives of people with palliative needs. Objectives: To ascertain whether there is relationship between the sociodemographic variables, psychological variables, mourning context and the way that relatives of people with palliative needs deal with mourning. Methods: Quantitative, transversal, descriptive and correlational study, conducted on 132 relatives of people with palliative needs, selected by a non-probabilistic, snow ball method. The instrument for collecting data includes a sociodemographic questionnaire, then the Herth Hope Index, a Mourning Context scale, a social support scale, a Depression Anxiety Stress Scale and the Inventory of Complicated Grief. Results: Of the 132 participants, 94 reveal a normal process of mourning. 67 % were women, with a mean age of 44 years, with a partner in life (61.7 %), living in the city (75.5 %). The level of hope and the age revealed a predictive effect on the prevalence of the normal mourning. Conclusions: The results of the identification of some factors involved in the mourning process reveal the need to mobilize promoter resources of a healthy living of mourning in palliative context. | pt_PT |
