Abstract(s)
Abstract Over the years, we have witnessed a great technological development of support tools for teaching, namely Web 2.0 tools. These tools led to the emergence Communities of practice and the resulting cooperation and collaboration through online interaction between kindergarten teachers. The Community of practice J@rdim do Girassol emerges from this context, offering conditions for kindergarten teachers to cooperate and collaborate in this community. Bearing in mind the question of this study: "To what extent do Web 2.0 tools facilitate the creation of CoP and the resulting cooperation through online interaction among kindergarten teachers?”, we have chosen a methodology of qualitative nature and case study type. Data were collected through several instruments: focus groups, participant observation and interviews. Data collection has also focused on the qualitative analysis of the interactions made in the community of practice, for this we have used the Miranda Pinto (2009) model. The results have shown that the CoP analysed was not an effective CoP. However, the participants recognized that, regardless of the communication tool they used, this online space has provided unique conditions that facilitate the cooperation, sharing of ideas, interaction, exchange of materials and the creation of solutions to common problems of professional practices in the classroom context.
