Abstract(s)
Introdução: A transição para a parentalidade é um processo significativo na vida de uma família, marcando uma mudança de papéis e responsabilidades. Adaptação da família às exigências e desafios que surgem com a chegada de um filho, envolve questões emocionais, físicas e sociais, impactando na saúde familiar.
Metodologia: O estudo enquadra-se no projeto Family2Care parecer favorável da comissão de ética da ULS Viseu Dão Lafões. Realizou-se a avaliação e intervenção familiar a quatro famílias, com o objetivo de analisar as famílias a vivenciar a transição para a parentalidade pela primeira vez. A seleção das famílias teve em consideração os critérios de inclusão: a vivência da transição para a parentalidade pela primeira vez e a presença de pelo menos um bebé de até 6 meses. O MDAIF foi utilizado como referencial teórico, enquanto matriz operativa. Foi utilizada como colheita de dados às famílias a entrevista familiar sistémica bem como os instrumentos de avaliação familiar.
Resultados: A prática de Enfermagem em Saúde Familiar, com base em referenciais teóricos e instrumentos de avaliação, possibilitou identificar necessidades nas famílias e implementar planos individualizados, resultando em diagnósticos com alterações favoráveis e melhorias significativas no atendimento às suas necessidades de cuidados.
Conclusões: As intervenções realizadas contribuíram para melhorias na saúde das famílias ao capacitá-las para mobilizar os seus próprios recursos perante os desafios das diferentes etapas do ciclo vital. A atuação próxima às famílias permitiu reconhecer a família como foco central dos cuidados.

Abstract Introduction: The transition to parenthood is a significant process in a family's life, marking a shift in roles and responsibilities. The family's adaptation to the demands and challenges that arise with the arrival of a child involves emotional, physical, and social aspects, impacting family health. Methodology: This study is part of the Family2Care project and received ethical approval from the Ethics Committee of ULS Viseu Dão Lafões. Family assessment and intervention were conducted with four families, aiming to analyze those experiencing the transition to parenthood for the first time. The selection of families was based on the following inclusion criteria: experiencing the transition to parenthood for the first time and having at least one baby up to 6 months old. The MDAIF (McGill Model of Nursing - Dynamic Model of Family Assessment and Intervention) was used as the theoretical and operational framework. Data collection was carried out through systemic family interviews and family assessment instruments. Results: Family Health Nursing practice, based on theoretical frameworks and assessment tools, made it possible to identify family needs and implement individualized care plans, resulting in favorable changes in nursing diagnoses and significant improvements in addressing the families’ care needs. Conclusions: The interventions carried out contributed to improved family health by empowering families to mobilize their own resources in the face of challenges across the different stages of the life cycle.
