Abstract(s)
Introdução: O presente relatório descreve o percurso formativo realizado ao longo do Curso de Mestrado em Enfermagem Médico-Cirúrgica, com especial enfoque nas experiências adquiridas durante os estágios em contexto de urgência e cuidados intensivos. Estas experiências foram fundamentais para o desenvolvimento de competências humanas, comunicacionais e técnicas, que sustentam as intervenções de enfermagem, sempre alicerçadas na melhor evidência científica, com o objetivo de prestar cuidados de enfermagem de excelência.
Objetivo: O principal objetivo deste relatório é realizar uma análise reflexiva dos estágios desenvolvidos, bem como traduzir e validar uma escala de avaliação de risco para úlceras por pressão em cuidados intensivos, adaptando-a à realidade da população portuguesa.
Métodos: Este trabalho é composto por duas partes distintas. Na Parte I, foi realizada uma análise reflexiva das atividades desenvolvidas em cada um dos estágios, tendo como referência as competências comuns e específicas do enfermeiro especialista em Enfermagem Médico-Cirúrgica. A Parte II apresenta, a componente de investigação, que versa sobre a tradução e validação da escala de avaliação de risco para úlceras por pressão em cuidados intensivos, para a população portuguesa.
Resultados: Os estágios proporcionaram uma oportunidade ímpar para o desenvolvimento de competências em diversas áreas, consolidando assim os conhecimentos previamente
adquiridos ao longo do mestrado. A componente de investigação permitiu ainda aprimorar capacidades de pesquisa e análise crítica, essenciais para a prática clínica.
Conclusão: A realização dos estágios foi um passo crucial para a melhoria da prática clínica, permitindo a prestação de cuidados mais especializados e ajustados às necessidades dos utentes. A elaboração da componente de investigação, que incluiu a tradução e validação da escala de avaliação de risco para úlceras por pressão em cuidados intensivos, representa
uma contribuição significativa para a adaptação de ferramentas de avaliação à realidade da população portuguesa, promovendo assim a qualidade e a segurança dos cuidados
prestados.

Abstract Introduction: This report describes the training path undertaken throughout the Master's Degree in Medical-Surgical Nursing, with a special focus on the experiences acquired during internships in the context of emergency and intensive care. These experiences were fundamental for the development of human, communicational and technical skills, which support nursing interventions, always based on the best scientific evidence, with the aim of providing excellent nursing care. Objective: The main objective of this report is to carry out a reflective analysis of the stages developed, as well as to translate and validate a risk assessment scale for pressure ulcers in intensive care, adapting it to the reality of the Brazilian population. Methods: This work is composed of two distinct parts. In Part I, a reflective analysis was carried out of the activities developed in each of the internships, taking as a reference the common and specific skills of the nurse specializing in Medical-Surgical Nursing. Part II presents, the research component, which deals with the translation and validation of the risk assessment scale for pressure ulcers in intensive care, for the portuguese population. Results: The internships provided a unique opportunity to develop skills in different areas, thus consolidating the knowledge previously acquired throughout the master's degree. The research component also allowed us to improve research and critical analysis capabilities, which are essential for clinical practice. Conclusion: Completing the internships was a crucial step towards improving clinical practice, allowing for the provision of more specialized care tailored to the needs of users. The development of the research component, which included the translation and validation of the risk assessment scale for pressure ulcers in intensive care, represents a significant contribution to the adaptation of assessment tools to the reality of the Brazilian population, thus promoting the quality and safety of the care provided.
