Abstract(s)

The advent of digital technology era, becomes more possible to preserve, promote and disseminate heritage out of our borders. The demand for consumer attention in today’s information and leisure society transforms the cultural market into an environment of competition, generating challenges that require the establishment of strategies and the use of innovative resources. Our work intends to show how ICT can be used to map, organize and promote the cultural heritage about Anita Garibaldi heroe, existing in the state of Santa Catarina, Brazil. The result of our research will show how ICT tools allow: an interactive integration between the public in general, the Garibaldi’s collection and the institutions that preserve most of the collection; data storage; networking; projects registration as well as initiatives dissemination. In addition, it will propose a service that overcomes the barrier of collections in physical support to the digital environment, adapting the cultural offer to a changing society and promoting the democratization of access
