Abstract(s)
Com este trabalho pretendemos apurar que tipo de resposta social responde às necessidades da população residente na freguesia de São João de Fontoura – concelho de Resende, no âmbito da intergeracionalidade e combate ao isolamento dos idosos. A metodologia utilizada é de caráter quantitativa, no qual se aplicaram entrevistas relativamente a dados sociodemográficos, de participação social, de educação, de qualidade de vida e, por fim, interesses pessoais. Como objetivo procura-se, através dos dados recolhidos, compreender a problemática do isolamento dos idosos na freguesia de São João de Fontoura e, posteriormente, dar solução
à mesma com a implementação de um centro de convívio intergeracional. Os resultados obtidos são claros e demonstram que os idosos se sentem sozinhos, havendo falta de respostas para satisfazer as suas necessidades sociais. Apesar disso, mostram-se recetivos ao nosso projeto, uma vez que têm todo o interesse em participar nas atividades propostas.
With this research we intend to find what kind of social services answer to the needs of the population of the parish of São João de Fontoura - Resende, regarding intergenerationality and isolation of the elderly combat. We use quantitative methodology, in which interviews were applied to subjects to identify sociodemographic, social participation, education, quality of life and, finally, personal interests. The objective of this study is to understand the problem of the isolation of the elderly in the parish of São João de Fontoura and, afterwords, to solve it with the implementation of an intergenerational convivial center. The results obtained are clear and demonstrate that the elderly feel alone, lacking answers to satisfy their social needs. Despite this, they are receptive to our project, because they have every interest in participating in the proposed activities.
