Abstract(s)
China is a great player in the world context, considering its population and economic dynamics. In that framework, this country from East Asia has paid attention to agricultural dimensions, namely because of the need for food to supply the dimension of the demand of its population and the Chinese strategies in the global markets. These contexts required agricultural policy reforms that accompanied the social transformation. In this way, an overview of the literature is proposed to identify agricultural policy instruments in China and show recent trends. Understanding the Chinese changes in these domains may be useful for several world stakeholders, considering the relevance of China to the world agendas. A systematic review based on bibliometric analysis was considered. This assessment of the literature reveals that food security, relationships of China’s contexts with the global frameworks, grain output, fertilisers use, climate change and the pressures of urbanisation are topics in discussion.
