Abstract(s)
Perante os novos desafios que se colocam à viabilidade das organizações sociais, ao nível da União Europeia e das mudanças legislativas portuguesas que enformam a Economia Social, urge repensar a sustentabilidade das organizações sociais.
Assim, pretende-se com este artigo analisar o impacto dos programas de financiamento na capacidade das organizações sociais para responder às necessidades sociais, bem como para garantir a sua viabilidade financeira.
Além de procurarmos apresentar uma fundamentação teórica acerca das políticas sociais e da economia social, iremos apresentar um estudo de caso sobre uma IPSS da região norte do país, evidenciando as consequências positivas e/ou negativas dos programas de financiamento, nos últimos anos nessa organização.
A recolha de dados foi realizada através de observação participante e a utilização de uma checklist, recorrendo ainda a documentação interna da organização para conseguirmos delimitar o universo em estudo.
Given the new challenges posed to the viability of social organizations, at the level of the European Union and the Portuguese legislative changes that shape the Social Economy, it is urgent to rethink the sustainability of social organizations. Thus, this paper intends to analyse the impact of financing programs on the capacity of social organizations to respond to social needs, as well as to ensure their own financial viability. After a theoretical proposal based on social policies and social economy conceptualization, we will present a case study on an social organization, in the northern region of the country, showing the positive and / or negative consequences of funding programs in recent years in this organization. The data survey was done through participant observation and the use of a checklist, as well as internal documentation of the organization in order to delimit the universe under study.
