| dc.description.abstract | O presente trabalho tem como tema central a compreensão da importância dos avós que assumiram a criação dos seus netos e mais objetivamente entender qual o papel que podem ter na proteção das crianças/jovens considerados em risco. Para tal, realizou-se um estudo de caráter qualitativo, com recurso a entrevistas semiestruturadas realizadas a técnicos das Comissões de Proteção de Crianças e Jovens do Distrito de Viseu. Foi ainda realizada uma entrevista a uma avó e a um neto. A análise às respostas às entrevistas foi feita através de análise de conteúdo. Quanto aos resultados obtidos, estes são unânimes, na medida em que os avós são de facto considerados, na opinião profissional dos técnicos entrevistados e pertencentes às CPCJ, um fator de proteção para os seus netos, quer no papel de cuidadores não formais, quer no papel de retaguarda familiar. É um tema que carece de maior suporte empírico, nomeadamente em Portugal, tendo sido esse um dos maiores desafios da realização deste projeto. No entanto, pela sua pertinência e atualidade requer uma maior atenção e investigação futura, de modo a dar continuidade às investigações até então realizadas e, procurar dar respostas a questões que atualmente ainda não se vêm totalmente respondidas e mais estudos que contemplem o papel dos avós no apoio às crianças e jovens em risco. | pt_PT |
| dc.description.abstract | The present study focuses mainly on the study of the relationship between grandparents who have assumed the creation of their grandchildren, objectively I intend to understand the importance that grandparents have in protecting children/young people considered at risk, and for This will count on the collaboration of technicians belonging to the Commissions for the Protection of Child and Youth Protection of the district of Viseu for participation in a semi-structured interview. This study assumes a qualitative character, because in addition to the interviews made to the technicians of the commissions, an interview was also made to a grandmother and a grandson. As for the results obtained, these are unanimous as grandparents are in fact considered in the professional opinion of the technicians interviewed and belonging to the CPCJ, a protective factor for their grandchildren, either on the role of non-formal caregivers, or in the role of family rearguard. It is a topic that needs more empirical support, namely in Portugal, and this was one of the major challenges of this project. However, due to its pertinence and timeliness, it requires greater attention and future research, in order to continue the investigations hitherto carried out and to seek answers to questions that are not yet fully answered and further studies that consider the role of grandparents in supporting children and young people at risk. | pt_PT |
