O Relatório Final de Estágio, desenvolvido no âmbito do Mestrado em Educação PréEscolar e Ensino do 1.º Ciclo do Ensino Básico, reflete o percurso de aprendizagem através de uma apreciação crítica das competências desenvolvidas ao longo da Prática de Ensino Supervisionada no 1.º Ciclo do Ensino Básico e na Educação Pré-Escolar. Paralelamente, evidencia o trabalho de investigação com o objetivo de compreender o potencial da utilização de um espaço exterior natural da cidade de Viseu, para a aprendizagem de conceitos relacionados com Geologia. O estudo seguiu uma abordagem de natureza qualitativa, onde se pretendeu evidenciar a importância do contacto com a natureza para o desenvolvimento e aprendizagem das crianças, especialmente no âmbito da Geologia. Para tal, realizouse um conjunto de observações durante a exploração, por um grupo de crianças da Educação Pré-Escolar, de um espaço natural da cidade de Viseu. Os resultados obtidos demonstraram que o espaço natural proporcionou um ambiente estimulante, onde as crianças tiveram a oportunidade de desenvolver aprendizagens de forma prática e significativa para as mesmas. A exploração sensorial e lúdica, bem como a curiosidade despertada pelo contacto direto com os elementos geológicos, promoveram uma aprendizagem ativa de conceitos relacionados com a Geologia. Deste modo, ressaltou o potencial destes espaços naturais na exploração e aprendizagem de conceitos na área da Geologia.
The Final Internship Report, developed as part of the Master's Degree in Pre-School Education and Primary School Teaching, reflects the learning process through a critical appraisal of the skills developed during the Supervised Teaching Practice in Primary School and Pre-School Education. At the same time, it highlights the research work aimed at understanding the potential of using a natural outdoor space in the city of Viseu to learn concepts related to Geology. The study followed a qualitative approach, which sought to highlight the importance of contact with nature for children's development and learning, especially in the teaching of Geology. To this end, a series of observations were made during the exploration of a natural space in the city of Viseu by a group of pre-school. The results showed that the natural space provided a stimulating environment where the children had the opportunity to develop their learning in a practical and meaningful way. Sensory and playful exploration, as well as the curiosity provoked by direct contact with geological elements, promoted active and learning of concepts related to Geology. This highlighted the potential of these natural spaces for exploring and learning concepts in the area of Geology.
