Abstract(s)
A castanha tem vindo a tornar-se um produto de destaque no mercado nacional e
internacional, a potencialidade das suas características alimentares tornou elevada a procura
deste fruto por parte dos consumidores, em especial por aqueles que dão preferência aos
produtos de origem biológica, por outro lado, as referidas caraterísticas da sua composição
tornam estre fruto atrativo para um segmento restrito de consumidores, como é o caso dos
doentes celíacos que utilizam a castanha e os seus derivados como substitutos de outros
produtos.
Este projeto consiste na elaboração de um plano de negócios e num estudo económicofinanceiro que pretende determinar a viabilidade da reabilitação de um souto de castanheiros
numa zona rural do interior do país, situado no distrito de Viseu. O projeto consiste na criação
de uma empresa no sector agroalimentar, orientada para a agricultura biológica, tendo como
objetivo a produção e venda de castanha no mercado nacional e internacional, aliada á oferta
de um pacote de agroturismo inovador, que pretende oferecer ao cliente a experiência única de
participar no processo da “apanha” da castanha, optado posteriormente pela adoção
responsável de um castanheiro.
ABSTRACT: The chestnut has become a prominent product in the national and international market, the potentiality of its food characteristics has made high demand for this fruit by consumers, especially by those who give preference to products of organic origin, on the other hand, the aforementioned characteristics of its composition make the fruit attractive for a restricted segment of consumers, such as celiac patients who use the chestnut and its derivatives as substitutes for other products. This project consists in the elaboration of a business plan and an economic and financial study to determine the feasibility of the rehabilitation of a chestnut grove in a rural area in the interior of the country. The project consists in the creation of a company in the agro-food sector, oriented to organic agriculture, aiming the production and sale of chestnuts in the national and international markets, combined with the offer of an innovative package of agro tourism, which aims to offer the customer the unique experience of participating in the process of "harvesting" the chestnut, opting later for the responsible adoption of a chestnut tree. The development of the company's activity is based on the production and marketing of a natural product of origin called protected, the martainha chestnut, thus combining the natural and responsible production to the new technological means available and present in agriculture.
