This final internship report, developed within the scope of the Master's Degree in Teaching Visual and Technological Education in Basic Education, includes a critical reflection on pedagogical practice and a research project entitled “Inspired by Art Therapy – a strategy for emotional well-being in Visual Education”. Throughout the Supervised Teaching Practices I, II and III, carried out in different school contexts, interdisciplinary work units were designed and implemented, focusing on artistic expression, creativity, and the development of technical, relational, and socioemotional skills among students. The research focused on students aged between 9 and 12 years and aimed to understand how strategies inspired by Art Therapy, applied in the context of Visual Education, could contribute to emotional well-being, self-esteem, selfexpression, and the improvement of social interactions. The results reveal positive impacts on students’ emotional engagement and classroom relationships, reinforcing the importance of art as a means of self-awareness, emotional communication, and psychological balance. This report thus advocates for a more humane, sensitive, and student-centred pedagogical approach, highlighting the potential of Visual Education as a privileged space for promoting emotional health in school settings.
